“Katie! Where do we start. We had the most incredible evening down at our Hengistbury Head engagement photoshoot with our dogs. It was just such a wholesome evening, Katie made us feel so comfortable and it was just easy and fun and it made us have so much fun together. The photos, don’t get me started on the photos… they are beautiful, I’m absolutely obsessed. It’s made me even more excited for the wedding!“
As a Hampshire-based wedding photographer, I love capturing love stories in natural settings. Recently, I photographed an unforgettable engagement session at Hengistbury Head with Georgia, Tyler, and their two adorable dogs.
This location is perfect for engagement photos due to its variety of settings. Georgia and Tyler wanted their dogs in their engagement session since their furry friends won’t join them on their wedding day.
Hengistbury Head, with its breathtaking views and diverse landscapes, provided an ideal backdrop. From the sandy beach to the rolling hills, every moment was stunning. We started on the cliffs, where Hengistbury’s beauty truly shines. The golden hour light sweeping across the Dorset coast allowed us to capture portraits as they climbed, chatted, and tried not to trip over the dogs.
Including pets in an engagement session is such a lovely idea. Animals are a huge part of our families and should be included when possible. Having pets along can also ease nerves in front of the camera since they provide a focus.
As we continued over the cliffs, the landscape changed again. We made our way to the sandy coves of Hengistbury Head. Georgia, Tyler, and the dogs had a blast running on the sand and splashing in the waves. As the sky turned pink, we crossed the beach and stopped under the epic cliffs for a few final photos.
