A Local Seaside Portsmouth Wedding

As a Portsmouth wedding photographer, there’s something truly special about capturing the love stories of couples in the city I know and adore. Last year, I had the pleasure of photographing a delightful seaside wedding that perfectly showcased and relaxed feel of Portsmouth. From the intimate ceremony at the Portsmouth Registry Office to the fun-filled reception at a local pub, every moment of this day was a joy.

The day started at the Portsmouth Registry Office, where the Tilly & Chris exchanged vows in an small ceremony with their closest family and friends. The relaxed atmosphere set the tone for the day, really highlighting their laid-back nature. As a wedding photographer, I really want to showcase how the couple truly are with each other, without feeling forced, posed or staged.

A classic wedding reception at your favourite Albert Road Local

After the ceremony, we headed to their favourite local pub for the reception. The familiar setting added a personal touch, making it a warm and welcoming experience for everyone involved. The relaxed vibe of the pub mirrored the couple’s personalities, creating an room filled with laughter, love and friendship.

One of the highlights of the day was our couple’s portrait session along Albert Road. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic mix of shops and cafes, Albert Road provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the couple’s adventurous spirit.

As the day drew to a close, we made our way to the beach for some stunning sunset photos. The golden hour was perfect, creating a breathtaking scene that really showed off the how beautiful a seaside wedding in Portsmouth can be. We even had time to play some games in the Arcade, which is a personal favourite of mine for any Portsmouth Wedding.
